Rock 30 Productions will be hosting a concert to raise money for tornado victims in Moore, Carney, and Shawnee. It will be a 2 day event held at the Chameleon Room at 3034 N Portland OKC, OK 73107. It will be held on June 8 & 9, 2013.We will be hosting approximately 30 bands for this event with all money raised going to charity. We will be raising money for two charities. The first being the Regional Food Bank, the other being Save the Children. We will have a food drive and a raffle as well as entertainment. We are taking donations to help this cause as well as items for the raffle. We would appreciate any support or items donated for the raffle. “Going Soft” in the Gazette!

The guys of Oklahoma City’s Code 22 seem like a likable group of fellas. Their latest release, Going Soft: The Acoustic Album!, is likable enough as well — so likable that on first listen, I took its clean, acoustic sound and clear, unstressed vocals as an alternative praise-and-worship band.

But after listening to the third track, “Nerdgasm,” I realized they’re not a Christian band at all — just four goofy, kinda nerdy, likable dudes. And we do need those in the world, including for romantic montages on flashback episodes of The Big Bang Theory. With the lyrics “I get to fight the girl of my dreams and her name’s Chun Li,” the aforementioned “Nerdgasm” is one of the few songs that isn’t a Weezer-like pop ditty about love, whether unrequited, rejected or long-lost.

In “Pining Over You,” the guys are “brokenhearted ever since we parted,” while in “Too Late,” they’re waiting for a girl to get over a guy she just can’t get over.

Even likable guys have their limits, as the final track, “I Don’t Really Miss You,” gets assertive, or at least admirably tries. But they can’t stay mad at you, girl. Then they wouldn’t be likable anymore. —Louis Fowler

Code 22 will be shooting a music video for our song “Chicks Dig It” and want *YOU* to be there!!!

We will be hosting a house party for all to come! There will be some snacks and adult beverages provided, but of course feel free to bring your favorite drinks to really make it a great event!

The band will also be providing a FREE SHOW to all those preparing in the shoot.
*This will also be a celebration for Skyler Tuter’s 25th birthday.
We have a big house that needs a lot of party animals to fill it. So come out and get featured in our first OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO!!!
